Brightstar Sets Sights on Gold at the promising Montague Project

Brightstar has begun a 6,000m RC drilling program at Montague, which will then continue at Alto’s Sandstone project. The entire program is expected to take about four weeks, with assay results from recent Fish and Lord Byron diamond drilling due soon.

Brightstar Resources, led by geologist Alex Rovira, has shifted its exploration focus to the Murchison assets near Sandstone, targeting two main deposits in the Montague East gold project. Following a recent merger with Alto Metals and the acquisition of Gateway Mining’s Montague project, Brightstar’s resource base has grown from 2Moz to 3Moz, making it one of the largest gold resources among junior ASX-listed explorers.

The inaugural drilling program targets resource expansion at the Montague-Boulder and Whistler deposits, with an aim to increase resource confidence and classification. The program is expected to conclude in four weeks, after which the rig will move to Alto’s Sandstone project. Results from this and other recent drilling efforts are anticipated soon, while work continues on a feasibility study and development plans for the Jasper Hills deposit.
